Adoption of the ISA 500 and its Impact on Audit Quality and Fraud Reduction: Evidence from Iraq

This study aims to demonstrate how adopting the international auditing standard 500 will improve audit quality in agencies. The Financial Supervision Bureau auditors and possibility of benefiting from research results prompted a recommendation Auditor Profession Council adopt two standards evidence accomplish study's objective; has adopted these standards. A questionnaire form was for this purpose, 100 questionnaires were distributed sample Iraqi agencies Federal Bureau. All 200 retrieved, data analyzed using statistical analysis programs SPSS 23 Amos test hypotheses based on path model. concluded that Accounting Supervisory Standards Board must International Auditing Standard due impact fraud reduction.
